Click on a thumbnail image to see enlarged images.

Pristine white cotton dress gloves. Wrist length with a slight flair at the cuff edge. The tops are ornamented with cut work, lace and beadwork. The flowers around the cut work are elagorately beaded and the entire top of the glove has been lightly sprinkled with beads. The stitching is a combination of machine and hand work. The cuff edge has been hemmed by hand and all of the beadwork has been down by hand. The rest of the stitching has been done by machine. Extremely Fine condition with no damage, repairs, strange odors or loose threads. There are several pin point size faint spots on the palm sides of the gloves which I believe are the result of storage, not wear. The orginal Gimbel's tag is pinned to one glove as it was when new. These gloves appear to have never been worn. The label states that the gloves are '120 count full shrunk double woven cotton, Made Expressly for Gimbels, In the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong, Size 8. Large. 8 inches from cuff to tip of pointer finger. To determine your glove size, wrap a tape measure around the knuckle area of your hand.
