Elegant brass hatpin! A flower and leaves in brass surround the mother of pearl. Very nicely crafted and in excellent condition with no damage to either the metal or mother of pearl. The length of this hatpin places it after the Victorian era of huge hats that required very long hatpins. The hatpins of the 1920's to 1940's were much shorter and many times, more ornamental than functional. 5 1/4 inches long. Head is 1 1/8 inches long x 7/8 inch wide. Circa: 1920-1930(Item #10197)
