Vintage 1950s Beaded Purple Nylon Dress Gloves

Click on a thumbnail image to see enlarged images.

Unique wrist length purple dress gloves. Created from nylon of a most unusual and beautiful shade of mauve. The color is not as lavender as it appears onscreen, but more of a muted mauve. Elaborately beaded with glass beads of a metallic silvery grey. The smaller seed beads are a darker shade of grey with the larger beads that form the bunches of grapes being a silver grey. All seams and hems of the cuffs, stitched by machine. The beadwork has been done by hand. No missing or loose beads. Several of the larger beads that form the cluster of grapes on one glove, show a slight loss of the metallic finish. Not noticable except on close inspection. Extremely Fine condition overall with no stains, tears, repairs, broken threads or damage of any kind. Size Small, 6-1-2. The nylon is quite stretchy, however, and although I wear a size 7-1/2 glove, these fit me. A very collectible pair of vintage gloves. 8-1/4 inches from cuff to tip of pointer finger. To determine your glove size, wrap a tape measure around the knuckle area of your hand. The label inside one glove reads, Nylon Gloves, Made in Hong Kong, Size 6-1/2.
