Victorian Brass Filigree Fringe Necklace

Click on a thumbnail image to see enlarged images.

A necklace that will bring out the gypsy in you. The design and composition has the feel of the Arts and Crafts period of the late 19th century. Created from brass but with more of a copper color to it. The base metal has never been gold washed. From the elaborately stamped bookchain a profusion of filigree squares and round cutouts dangle from cable chains. The necklace chimes softly when it moves. A delight to wear. Closes with a spring ring clasp. The clasp has lost a good deal of its spring and requires an assist to completely close. Extremely Fine condition with no damage or repairs. All parts appear to be original to the necklace. Not hallmarked. Gift boxed. (The box is not antique or vintage.)
