A luscious black velvet hat by designer, Hattie Carnegie. Perfect with your little black dress for that late afternoon cocktail party. This hat is designed to sit on the top of your head like a cap. You will need hatpins to secure it in place. The back of the hat features a large black velvet and satin rosette. The interior is lined with a sheer black fabric and edged with a black grosgrain fabric band. The milliner's label reads, Hattie Carnegie. Extremely Fine condition with no damage, tears or repairs. No shiny wear spots to the black velvet. The hat does not appear to have been worn or was worn very gently. Size, Medium. Inside edge measurement, 22 inches.
