Exquisitely perfect gold gilt rose!! What Victorian craftsmen could do with brass never ceases to amaze me. This lovely gold gilt rose surrounded by gold gilt filigree is gorgeous but what I really love about this necklace is the detailing on the rose leaves. Both sides of the rose leaves are detailed and comprised of two pieces of brass. As you can see from the closeup of the rose, there are spots on the rose petals where the gilt has worn away revealing the aged brass beneath. I am showing you things with my macro photography that you are not very likely to see or notice with normal vision. The overall condition is excellent with no dings or dents to the brass. The clasp is in excellent working order. (Item #10013)
